This activity takes place in the Peloponnese highlands of Athens – with guided tours available in both Arini Gorge and Neda waterfalls. Situated in the territory of the municipality of Zaharo in Ilia, the gorge of Arini shares its name with the small village that lies 2km away. The river Neda and its namesake waterfall is close to the town of Platania.

A trekking excursion that will mean getting wet, follow the river through the Greek countryside – exploring ancient canyon systems that divide the landscape in two. A varied landscape of barren rock and forests, this guided hike is set to a leisurely pace – ensuring there is ample time to take a swim, tombstone off exciting rock formations and swim through narrow channels.
Neda Route (4km): Walk along the riverbanks, under the shade of huge plane-trees, oaks and dense vegetation along the banks of the Neda. Some parts of the gorge are very narrow and you will have to swim. The river trek ends in a place with natural river pools under a waterfall a real fun paradise for children where they can swim under the spectacular waterfall.
Arinis Route (4km): Walk down the gorge and through lakes and water streams of exquisite beauty until you get to your final destination, the lake of Kalogria. Breathe in the freshness of the vegetation and swim in the crystal waters of the lake!
This activity operates throughout the summer season from May – October. An excursion that combines river trekking and gorge walking, guests are required to bring closed-toe shoes that they don’t mind getting wet – and swimwear, too!
